Claims Call Center Technician
Summary of Duties
The Claims Call Center Technician provides clerical and administrative service and assistance to all internal and external customers for claim customer service excellence. In addition, this position receives incoming status line calls from claimants, providers, insureds, agents, and attorneys for the department. Receives incoming first notice of loss reports, by phone; mail; fax and e-mail for entry into the claim application for claim number and claim handler assignment. Processes medical EOB’s, supports automobile subrogation processes, performs various tasks and other administrative processes, performs various tasks and other administrative processes for Workers Compensation area, provides a variety of duties in full support of the claim department as assigned and performs other miscellaneious duties as assigned or directed by management.
Applicant must possess a general equivalency or high school diploma, strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability in dealing with a variety of people, demonstrated proficient computer software knowledge and data entry at a rate sufficient to perform duties of the position, demonstrate proficient phone system; fax machine; calculator; and other applications specific to the position, moderate math abilities and basic accounting skills, proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills both written and verbal, demonstrated eye for detail, general knowledge of insurance and an understanding of claim handling process, demonstrated organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and a minimum of one years’ experience in related position(s).
