Summary of Duties

The software quality assurance analyst II or III analyzes, documents and models the current business process, as well as the desired future states and amalgamates understanding among business and technology partners. The incumbent must achieve familiarity with requirement elicitation techniques and software quality assurance best practices, and be able to handle moderate analysis and problem resolution. The software quality assurance analyst II or III receives and performs responsibilities with the direction of their supervisor/manager or project lead, and performs responsibilities with minimal supervision. Factors that determine level of complexity include: size and scope of the assignment, level of leadership expected, use of new technology, complexity of the business problem being solved, etc. Specific duties include supporting requirement analysis and software quality assurance efforts; planning, organizing, documenting, and communicating project timelines, status reports, user documentation, technical and user training, etc; and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.

Necessary Qualifications

Applicants must possess general equivalency or Associates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, etc; ability to establish and nurture positive working relationships with peers, management and business partners; proficient communications skills (both written and verbal); demonstrated ability to conceptualize, analyze, and resolve problems within required timeframes; demonstrated experience in setting schedules and meeting deadlines; demonstrated skill in at least one line of business; capacity to learn new technologies; demonstrated judgment and problem-solving abilities; organizational and time management skills; strong customer service orientation; an eye for detail; and successful completing of Insurance Institutes of America Intro course within one year of placement into position.

Specific requirements for each level are as follows:
Software Quality Assurance Analyst II

  • Minimum of 1 year of Position-related experience
  • Mastery of two verticals – Requirements Analysis, Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Property and Casualty Insurance

Software Quality Assurance Analyst III

  • Minimum of 2 years of Position-related experience
  • Mastery of three verticals – Requirements Analysis, Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, or Property and Casualty Insurance
