The marketing representative or senior marketing representative manages the MBG agency force in their assigned territory to promote growth and profitability. Specific duties include maintaining a regular agency visitation schedule; promoting MBG products and providing necessary training; seeking new business opportunities in accordance with growth objectives; monitoring agency performance; managing agency relationships; developing and recruiting prospects for new agency appointments; providing assistance to product development and underwriting departments; and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience combination; a minimum of ten years’ experience in directly related insurance position(s); demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of people; proficient interpersonal, communications, time management, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills; demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word and Excel; and the ability to work independently and maintain a home office. Designation of CPCU and/or CIC is preferred.
Applicants will need to reside in, and have knowledge of, the Maryland territory.
