The Operation Service Representative supports the company’s customers by providing information and resolving product and service issues. In addition, this position performs a variety of financial and nonfinancial tasks to help support other units within the company. This position is responsible for answering calls and emails from external and internal customers; responding efficiently and accurately to all customers; engaging in active listening with customers; greeting and directing visitors; processing incoming payments; processing quotes, new business, manual renewals, cancellations, non-renewals and reinstatement notices; reconciling processed work; reviewing risk reports; maintaining forms database; working with underwriting, vendors and Information Services Department; and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed.
Applicant must possess a general equivalency or high school diploma, associate degree preferred; strong customer service orientation and demonstrated ability in dealing with a variety of people; proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills (both written and verbal); moderate computer knowledge; demonstrated analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills; moderate math skills; general knowledge of insurance and/or accounting; and minimum of two years work experience in related position.
