Senior Field Claims Representative – Western PA

Job Summary

The senior field claims representative investigates, evaluates and settles multi-line claims within established authority level, including those of complexity and high exposure. Specific responsibilities consist of determining coverage; performing scene inspections; documenting discussion and file history; reviewing and maintaining proper reserves; determining settlement values; and maintaining a current diary system. Territory covered by this position is the PA counties of Allegheny, Bedford, Fayette, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland. Applicants must live in the territory of counties covered.

This is a professional-level opening for applicants who have a minimum of five years’ experience with investigation, management and negotiation of property and liability claims in Pennsylvania. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; proficient interpersonal relations and communications skills (both written and verbal); a thorough knowledge of claims law; proficient analytical and problem-solving skills; moderate computer knowledge; demonstrated organization; and time management.
