What happens after you submit a claim?
While no one wants to suffer a loss, it’s likely that one will occur at some point in your lifetime. And that’s why you purchased insurance—to help restore you to the place you were before the loss occurred. Mutual Benefit Group understands that how we handle your claim experience, how we fulfill the promise of protection we made to you when you purchased your insurance policy, is what sets us apart from other companies. Our claims satisfaction rate has averaged 96% over the past five years, based on policyholder surveys.
If a loss occurs, notify your independent agent or Mutual Benefit Group as soon as possible. To submit a claim directly to Mutual Benefit Group, call 800-290-6361, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An adjuster will be assigned to your claim within the current or next business day. Your adjuster will attempt to make an initial contact with you the same day or next business day after the claim is received.
Our goal is to settle your claim as quickly and efficiently as possible, thus making you whole again. Depending on the complexity of your claim and your coverages, it might take longer than usual to settle your claim. In some cases, claims are handled over the telephone; in other cases, a claim adjuster will come to your location.
