For over a century, Huntingdon County has been more than just where our headquarters is located — it's our home. We live, work and raise our families here while insuring our neighbors, too.
We believe small towns deserve personalized protection with a local understanding. Whether it’s a family in rural Pennsylvania or a small business in a Maryland community, we understand what matters when you're searching for the right insurance provider: personalized, professional experiences and business relationships you can trust when the unexpected occurs.
Our size as a regional mutual insurer is an advantage, allowing us to be deeply invested in the places we serve. We don’t just provide insurance coverages — we support, engage and stand with our neighbors across Pennsylvania and Maryland.

At Mutual Benefit Group, we’re proud to support the Huntingdon County United Way with more than $100,000 in donations last year, helping the organization fully meet its funding needs. MBG CEO and President Gary Williams alongside Jada Williams served as United Way champions for 2024–2025, leading by example in support of the programs that strengthen our community.
By combining employee service with MBG’s contributions, we’re helping United Way provide essential resources to families, seniors and neighbors in need. Giving back is part of who we are, and we’re honored to play a role in making our community stronger, healthier and more resilient thanks to the impactful efforts of the organization.
As a mutual insurance company, we’re owned by our policyholders, not outside investors. That keeps our focus where it belongs, on the people and communities who count on us. From family-owned businesses to volunteer-run programs supporting neighbors in need, the communities across Pennsylvania and Maryland are the reason we exist.
Our independent agents and employees live and work in the same towns you do. They understand local needs because they see them every day, and they carry that perspective into every quote, claim and conversation. It’s a more personal way of doing business, and it’s how we’ve built trust over time as a mutual insurance company.

Mutual Benefit Group provides charitable donations to local 501(c)(3) organizations that serve the communities where our employees, agents, and policyholders live and work. Priority is given to Huntingdon County organizations, but groups throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland are eligible.
