Jennifer Hefkin named CFO of Mutual Benefit Group

Jennifer Hefkin was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Mutual Benefit Group (MBG) on Jan. 1, 2026.

In this role, Jennifer will support the development of corporate strategy, including investment strategy and policy. She will oversee financial planning, analysis and reporting for Mutual Benefit Group companies and work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive innovation and identify new business opportunities.

Jennifer graduated from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in both Accounting and Management. She later went on to earn the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Prior to joining Mutual Benefit Group, Jennifer worked as a staff accountant with KPMG in Harrisburg, PA. She began her employment with Mutual Benefit Group as an accountant and has held various positions during her tenure, including Accountant Supervisor, Controller, Assistant Vice President – Finance and Accounting and most recently Vice President – Finance and Accounting.

Currently, Jennifer serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC) Financial Management committee.

Jennifer’s family includes her husband Scott and children Scott, Kyle, Jake and Maddy, as well as grandsons Bodie and Cooper. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking and gardening.
