Tawana Scott joins MBG as Vice President - Commercial Lines Product Management

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Tawana Scott joined Mutual Benefit Group on Feb. 27, 2025, serving as Vice President – Commercial Lines Product Management.

Tawana graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Business Administration. She also holds the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) and Associate in Reinsurance.

She is a member of the CPCU Society and Chapter Governor for Hawaii and Southern California. She also serves as Treasurer and member of the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA).

Tawana has extensive experience in commercial lines underwriting, product development andmanagement. She previously held the position of VP, Commercial Lines at a local company in Honoluluand VP, Commercial Product & Underwriting at SageSure. She also served in leadership roles at Zurich, Harleysville and Starr Companies.

Tawana has three children, nine grandchildren and four bonus grandsons ranging in age from fourmonths to 15 years old. Her interests include reading, traveling, cooking, soul line dancing and hanging out with her grandkids. She also owns an off premises catering company.
