Dante DiOrio Named Personal Lines General Manager
Dante L. DiOrio of Port Matilda has been named Personal Lines General Manager for Mutual Benefit Group.
In this new role, he is responsible for achieving profit and growth targets for Personal Lines products.
Dante joined Mutual Benefit Group as Research and Product Development Manager in September 2016. After several years of demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork and technical skills, he advanced to the role of Research and Development Assistant Vice President – Insurance Analytics in February 2022 before being promoted once again into his current position.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Dante majored in finance and minored in business logistics. Since joining Mutual Benefit Group, he has earned a graduate certificate from the Pennsylvania State University in business data analytics.
Dante has an extensive and impressive property and casualty insurance career that spans more than 20 years and includes analytics, reporting, operations, product development, pricing, underwriting, project management, competitor analysis, process analysis, compliance and auditing.
He began his insurance career in May 2000 when he joined Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. He advanced through Liberty’s personal markets division, holding various underwriting, analyst and management positions before joining OneBeacon Insurance in July 2006. There, he held the positions of business consultant and state pricing manager, where he developed state product and pricing structures.
In November 2007, he joined Hanover Insurance Group as product manager for their personal lines product management division. In this role, he managed nearly $1 billion dollars of auto product countrywide, including product development, pricing, analytics, underwriting strategy, vendor management, compliance and technology.
Both Dante and his wife Nikki are native Pennsylvanians. The couple and ten-year-old son Anthony are excited to live in Pennsylvania, where they are closer to family. Dante enjoys spending time with family, watching Penn State football and being outdoors. His hobbies include kayaking, fly fishing, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
