Mutual Benefit Group Welcomes Hudson as Pricing Analyst

 

Megan Hudson joined Mutual Benefit Group on February 6, 2017, as pricing analyst in the Insurance Analytics Department.

In this position, Hudson will support the development and maintenance of property and casualty insurance products. She will evaluate product profitability and implement needed price changes across states, lines, and classes of business. As part of her analysis, Hudson will use statistical, financial, and competitive information to drive the pricing strategy for MBG’s insurance products.

Hudson’s insurance career began in 2006 as an actuarial analyst for four years at Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, Horsham, PA. In 2011 she entered the education field as a math teacher in high-needs schools in New York, NY. There she taught an eighth grade math class for four years in Bronx, NY, and spent one year teaching fifth grade math in Brooklyn, NY.

A Penn State University, University Park, PA, graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Hudson has also earned a master’s degree in education from St. John’s University, Jamaica, NY. During her actuarial analyst career, she passed five of the preliminary actuarial exams.
